Beam Smoke Detector DOP-40
The DOP-40 is an optical beam smoke detector designed for early detection of smoke at the initial stage of a fire. It is especially suitable for protecting large spaces where the appearance of smoke is expected in the first phase of fire development, and where the use of multiple point smoke detectors would be impractical or impossible. The DOP-40 is ideal for use in large halls, warehouses, or other extensive areas.
The detector consists of a transmitter and receiver of infrared radiation housed in a single unit, working in conjunction with a reflector or a group of prismatic reflectors. The operation is based on analyzing the optical transparency of the air between the detector and the reflector(s). When a certain amount of aerosol (smoke) reduces transparency, the detector triggers an alarm according to the set sensitivity threshold. A complete interruption of the infrared beam is signaled as a fault, as even the highest smoke concentration does not cause a total optical interruption. The detector features built-in automatic compensation circuits for environmental conditions, ensuring consistent sensitivity and long-term fire threat detection capability. When a certain level of optical contamination is reached, the detector signals the need for maintenance and cleaning.
The DOP-40 can operate in conventional fire alarm systems such as IGNIS 1000, as well as in addressable systems like POLON 4000 with addressable units ADC-4001M. It is certified by CNBOP 1438/CPD/0002.
