Optical smoke detector DUR-40Ex
The DUR-40Ex is a conventional, intrinsically safe optical smoke detector designed to detect visible smoke produced during the early, non-flame stage of a fire, when materials begin to smolder—often well before open flames or a noticeable temperature rise occur. This detector is suitable for use in areas classified as 1st and 2nd explosion hazard zones for gas and liquid vapors, belonging to explosive subgroups IIA, IIB, IIC, and temperature classes T1 to T6. It is compatible with conventional fire alarm systems such as IGNIS 1000 and addressable systems like POLON 4000 (via ADC-4001M addressable units). The DUR-40Ex meets European standards EN 54-7, CPD 89/106/EEC, EMC 89/336/EEC, and ATEX 94/9/EC, and is certified by CNBOP 1438/CPD/0033 and KDB 05ATEX190X. The detector features analog compensation for environmental changes, ensuring high resistance to variations in pressure, temperature, and humidity. It includes a built-in digital self-regulation circuit to maintain constant sensitivity even as the measuring chamber becomes contaminated, and can send a technical alarm signal indicating the need for cleaning or replacement of its optical chamber. The detector works with the G-40 base socket.
