Optical Smoke Detector DOR-40
The DOR-40 is a universal, conventional optical smoke detector designed for the detection of visible smoke, which is typically present at the early stages of a fire, long before open flames appear and temperatures rise significantly. This enables early fire detection, providing crucial time for response and evacuation.
The DOR-40 is intended for use in indoor environments where, under normal conditions, there is no presence of smoke, dust, or condensing steam. Thanks to its self-compensation for environmental changes, the DOR-40 offers enhanced resistance to fluctuations in pressure and temperature, ensuring reliable operation.
The detector can operate in conventional fire alarm systems such as IGNIS 1000, as well as in addressable systems like POLON 4000 via addressable units ADC-4001M. It is compliant with the PN-EN 54-7 standard and certified by CNBOP (1438/CPD/0020).
The DOR-40 uses the principle of measuring infrared radiation scattered by smoke particles (aerosols) that enter the optical measurement chamber, which is isolated from external light. The built-in digital self-regulation circuit maintains constant sensitivity even as the optical chamber becomes contaminated. When the contamination exceeds a certain threshold, a service alarm is sent to the control panel, indicating the need for cleaning or replacing the optical chamber. An additional optical indicator (WZ-31) can be connected for detectors installed in hard-to-reach locations.
