The DOR-4043 is an addressable, multi-sensor optical smoke detector designed for early detection of visible smoke, which typically accompanies most fires. It enables fire detection at the initial stage, long before open flames appear and temperatures rise significantly. The detector operates on the principle of measuring infrared radiation scattered by smoke particles (aerosol) entering the optical measurement chamber, which is shielded from external light. The built-in photodiode detects scattered infrared light only when smoke is present, ensuring reliable detection.
This analogue detector features automatic self-compensation for sensitivity, maintaining consistent performance even as dirt accumulates inside the measurement chamber or as pressure and humidity conditions change. If the self-compensation threshold is exceeded, the detector sends a service alert to the fire alarm control panel without losing its fire detection capability. The DOR-4043 cannot operate in interactive mode and is compatible only with addressable fire alarm panel POLON 4200. The detector is equipped with internal short-circuit isolators and works with the non-addressable G-40 mounting base. Additional optical signaling for one or a group of detectors can be achieved by connecting the WZ-31 indicator.
The DOR-4043 meets the requirements of the European standard PN-EN 54-7 and is certified by CNBOP 1438/CPD/0014.
