Flame detector PUO-35Ex
The PUO-35Ex is a conventional UV flame detector designed for fire detection by sensing ultraviolet radiation (UV) present in flames during a fire, in protected rooms. This detector is intrinsically safe and suitable for installation in areas with explosion hazards. It can be used in detector lines connected to Polon-Alfa fire alarm control panels through a proper safety separator or barrier.
The PUO-35Ex can operate in conventional fire alarm systems such as IGNIS 1000, as well as in addressable systems like POLON 4000 on the side line of addressable units ADC-4001M.
The detector responds to ultraviolet radiation with a wavelength of about 200 nm and is resistant to false light sources that do not emit UV radiation. The principle of operation is based on counting pulses generated on the electrode of a gas-discharge electronic lamp as a result of photoelectric emission. The active surface of the detector is made of quartz glass and should be kept clean, avoiding contact with fingers.
The PUO-35Ex is certified with CNBOP 1987/2005 and KDB 04ATEX170X. In its intrinsically safe version, it has a certificate from the Experimental Mine "Barbara" of the Main Institute of Mining Industry in Poland No. 97.606W and bears the intrinsically safe mark 1EmibIIC T6.
